Construction dust is finer than household dust: it hangs in the air, settles on every surface and comes back after a single wipe — and in a loft it settles on the top of the ductwork as readily as the floor. So we clean in passes — bulk removal top-down with extension poles, a second pass once the dust has resettled, then detail — vacuuming exposed brick with a brush head, squeegeeing the big steel-framed windows and clearing their mullions, and finishing the floors last each time with a pH-neutral cleaner on polished concrete or a neutral soap on wood.

Then the residue: adhesive from protective film lifted from new counters and appliances, paint splatter removed from the floor and fixtures, caulk smears and grout haze cleared from new tile with non-abrasives, drywall dust cleared from inside every new cabinet before anything goes in. Vents, light fixtures and switch plates are cleared, walls and baseboards wiped, and the new kitchen and bathroom sanitized to finish.

DUMBO owners are often away while the work happens, so we coordinate with your contractor or building on access, clean when the last trade is out, and send photos of the finished loft.
