Deep Cleaning in DUMBO, Brooklyn

Deep Cleaning for DUMBO Homes

The converted warehouses along Water and Plymouth Streets have ceilings at twelve or fourteen feet, exposed brick and timber, concrete floors, ductwork overhead and vast steel-framed windows. A deep clean starts at the top: ductwork, beams and high shelving cleared with extension poles and a vacuum with a brush head, exposed brick vacuumed rather than wiped, the windows squeegeed and their mullions cleared. Then it comes down to the surfaces a standard clean handles and goes deeper into them.

Oven, refrigerator, freezer, microwave and dishwasher cleaned inside; cabinet fronts and hood degreased; behind appliances where they move. Shower glass, faucets and showerheads descaled; grout scrubbed; tub and tile cleaned. Baseboards, door frames and switch plates washed; blinds, vents and light fixtures detailed; walls spot-cleaned. Floors finished last with the right product for the material — polished concrete wants a pH-neutral cleaner, original wood a neutral soap, new planks something else again.

DUMBO clients usually book a deep clean seasonally or before starting a recurring plan, often while they're away. A loft takes a full day for one person, so we send two cleaners and finish in one visit. We schedule seven days a week including evenings at no premium. The rate is flat and confirmed before we begin, however long the job runs. Anything missed is re-cleaned free within 24 hours.
